The School of Art, Design & Performance at the University of Central Lancashire is seeking a part time Research Associate to work on a number of design creativity research projects. Under the direction and supervision of Karl K. Jeffries, particular expertise is sought from within the field of quantitative psychology.
The successful candidate will have attained a PhD in Psychology: preferably related to creativity or design, but psychometrics is also a favoured specialism. They will have substantial knowledge and experience of statistical analysis in relation to psychology, for example: ANOVA, MANOVA, ANCOVA, Chronbach Alpha, Correlation, Regression, and non-parametric equivalents. More specifically, Segmented Regression will be used in one of the research studies, and expertise in this area is of particular interest.
In addition, candidates require experience of teaching and research in Higher Education, excellent writing skills and experience of publishing for high profile, peer-reviewed journals and/or conference proceedings. Some teaching supervision on the MA Creative Thinking is likely, as is contribution to specific research groups within the School.
All work will be based at the University of Central Lancashire, Preston campus, with fieldwork intended to occur within the surrounding areas of Preston, Manchester and Liverpool. The vacancy is part time, for two consecutive days each week (Tuesday and Wednesday).
